About this Position

  • Define, formalize, and continuously update Global Lab Infrastructure Standards to ensure consistent, future-ready R&D lab design and operation across regions.
  • Lead end-to-end planning, deployment, and optimization of innovation footprint and infrastructure projects across APAC, from concept development to operational readiness.
  • Translate global infrastructure guidelines into effective local execution by driving standardized, compliant, cost-efficient, and scalable R&D lab infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of regional innovation infrastructure capital projects, including lab construction, renovation, and upgrades, leveraging strong MEP, HVAC, and project management expertise.
  • Build and share internal technical expertise and know-how, providing reliable infrastructure support for APAC projects and selected global innovation infrastructure initiatives.
  • Report to regional Lab Operation Head and keep close collaboration with business innovation leadership team.

What you´ll do

  • Take ownership of updating global lab infrastructure standards, specifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Formulate APAC inno footprint strategies based on global R&D growth plan and regional market needs.  Conduct regional site selection, capacity planning, space layout optimization, and resource allocation planning, and promote the steady implementation of plans to support the sustainable development of regional R&D expansion.
  • Lead the full lifecycle management of major APAC inno infrastructure projects, including new lab construction, existing lab renovation, facility expansion and functional upgrading projects.
  • Provide professional technical support to inno infrastructure project in other regions focusing on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, which are core to R&D lab operational stability.
  • Closely collaborate with regional innovation leadership team, proactively monitor the infrastructure forecast and requirements.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, HVAC, MEP Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in laboratory, industrial park, or high-tech R&D base infrastructure construction and project management, with rich cross-regional project management experience in APAC.
  • Solid professional knowledge of MEP and HVAC systems, proficient in lab-related electromechanical design, ventilation purification, constant temperature and humidity control, power distribution, and plumbing system specifications, with the ability to independently review construction drawings and solve on-site technical problems.
  • Familiar with global and local laboratory construction standards, safety specifications, environmental protection requirements, and engineering construction management processes in APAC countries/regions.
  • Proven experience in independently leading large-scale R&D lab new construction, renovation, and footprint optimization projects, with successful full-cycle project delivery track record.
  • Fluent oral and written English, capable of daily business communication and regular report presentation. 
  • Proactive work attitude, strong sense of responsibility and execution.
  • Possession of PMP, Registered Mechanical Engineer, HVAC Professional Certificate, or relevant construction engineering qualification certificates preferred.
